Easter 2026 and Good Friday in Canada
Good Friday is on April 3 in 2026 and Easter Sunday is on April 5. DST will be canceled for the full duration of Fri - Mon, inclusive.
It's a complicated but precise formula that determines the day Easter Sunday is celebrated: It is the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring (after March 25th) which can occur as early March 22 and as late as April 25.
Out of respect, the Cowichan Aquatic Centre and the Duncan Swim Team will be observing these date - all programs are canceled for the full duration (Fri - Mon). Please use this additional time to honor this date in the manner of your choosing.
