Hello Stingrays families and welcome back to another season!
We hope that you will join us on September 12th from 3:30-6:30pm at Glenora Trails Head Park for our pre-season icebreaker where we can all mix -it-up with one another and get excited about hopping back in the pool for another amazing season. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share summer stories, catch up and get to know one another a little better.
Due to the continuing Public Health Orders and current Fire Bans, there will be no job sign up for this event. Instead, we ask that you bring your own food, drinks and snacks for your family.
We are looking forward to future events in which we can share food and we are very grateful for your patience and understanding as our club navigates these difficult times.
Following are a few key items to take note of:
- This is a kid friendly event. Please plan food & drink choices and activities accordingly while in attendance.
- This is also a GREEN EVENT and we ask that everyone bring their own reusable plates, cups, water bottles and cutlery.
- Plan to pack your garbage out. It would be a great idea to bring along a garbage bag of your own so that food scraps and plastic can be safely stowed for your car ride home.
- Bring a chair so you can sit comfortably while still maintaining social distancing protocols.
- Swimmer annual awards.

This is going to be a wonderful event and loads of fun. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

DST (volunteer) President Leanne message to the membership:
We know it's been so long since we've seen each other's faces. With recent announcements of BC's Restart Plan, the DST Board and Coaches, along with some dedicated volunteer parents, have been planning a Team Barbecue for Sunday, September 12th between 3:30 to 6:30 at Glenora Trailhead Park.
This will be a great opportunity for families and swimmers from all groups, new and returning, to gather together. Our hardworking Apparel Committee will have some suits and other gear to try on and order for the upcoming season, and best of all, we'll be able to celebrate our swimmers' accomplishments at our annual awards ceremony.
More details will be released closer to the time, but mark your calendars. This is one team event you won't want to miss!
