Swimming Development Camp
I∙SPARC (Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council) is pleased to present this camp in partnership with Cowichan Valley Métis Association and the Duncan Stingrays Swim Team.
This one-day event is being held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Cowichan Aquatic Centre in Duncan, BC.
Indigenous youth (First Nations, Métis, Inuit), ages 10-18 are invited to participate.
- 10 - 12yrs @ 12 - 330pm
- 13 - 18yrs @ 300 - 630pm
Please note this is NOT a Team BC selection event for the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG), however, this event does provide opportunity for athletes to better prepare for upcoming Team BC selection processes leading up to the 2027 NAIG.
Kindly requesting registration before 4:00 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The Duncan Swim Team is pleased to be partnering with ISPARC & the Cowichan Valley Metis Association for the 1st Provincial Camp since the 2023 North American Indigenous Games.
The DST Sr Staff are proudly coordinating and facilitating this Camp for all youth traveling to the Cowichan Valley:

- NCCP Level IV certified
- ISPARC Provincial Coach since 2004 & Head Coach for NAIG 2006, 2008, 2014, 2017, 2023
- Riley Janes, Metis
- NCCP Level II trained
- Sophie Paridaen van Veen
- NCCP Level III trained
